Potential and Opportunities

Attapeu is located in the Development Triangle Area (DTA) formed by Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam (CLV). During the last 10 years, Attapeu has experienced dramatic socio-economic progress, especially in regards to infrastructure. Today many roads connect to domestic and international markets.

Attapeu has high potential for processing industry, hydropower dams, agribusiness, mining and natural tourism.

Agriculture and Forestry

Attapeu has an area for agricultural production of around 250,000 ha. It is the 7th biggest plain in Laos.
